Report templates allow you to save report options for future use. Templates dramatically expedite and facilitate the creation of frequently used reports and enable you to automate report creation and delivery.
The template management panel is located in the lower part of the Start page. The templates table contains a list of existing templates. The type of template in the first column determines the type of the report being created. Templates are automatically grouped by type in the form of a tree-like list. The name of the template from the second column determines the name of the report being created. The description text and the time interval to be used for data selection are shown in the third and the fourth columns, respectively. The table column headers can be used for changing the sorting order. To do that, left-click the header of the necessary column.
You can create a template by starting the Report wizard in the template creation mode. To do that, click the New template button. You can also save any reports as a template on the final step of the work of the Report wizard (enter the name of the template and click the Save report as template button).
To create a report, select a template in the table and press the Run report using template button or select the Run report using template from the context menu of the table. You can also generate a report by double-clicking a template in the table. Report creation can be scheduled using the Task scheduler.
Templates can be edited in the Report wizard window. To start the Report wizard in the template editing mode, select a template in the table and press the Edit template button or select the Edit template command from the context menu of the table. A template similar to an existing one can be quickly created by cloning and subsequent editing. To duplicate a template, select it in the table and press the Clone button or use the Clone command from the context menu of the table. If a template is no longer needed, you can delete it. To delete a template, select it in the table and press the Delete template button or use the Delete template command from the context menu of the table.
